We’re looking for a Sales & Marketing Lead to drive growth and adoption of ShareCARD across the agricultural sector. This role sits at the intersection of sales execution, market positioning, and customer relationships — with a strong focus on agribusinesses, agricultural programs, investors, exporters, and ecosystem partners operating in last-mile contexts.
You’ll translate ShareCARD’s value into clear, compelling messages, build strong pipelines, and convert interest into long-term partners. You’ll work closely with product, field, and customer success teams to ensure what we sell reflects real-world agricultural needs.
Ideal for someone who understands agricultural value chains, is comfortable selling complex systems, and can engage both decision-makers and on-the-ground implementers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sales strategies targeting agribusinesses, cooperatives, outgrower programs, agricultural investors, and development partners.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through deal closure.
- Lead sales conversations, demos, and negotiations with prospective customers.
- Convert pilots and trials into long-term contracts.
Market Positioning & Messaging
- Clearly articulate ShareCARD’s value proposition across agricultural use cases — traceability, farmer engagement, resource distribution, and impact reporting.
- Tailor messaging for different customer segments (agribusinesses, investors, NGOs, consortium programs).
- Ensure sales and marketing materials reflect real field realities and customer needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, UI/UX, Field, and Customer Success teams to align sales with product capabilities and roadmap.
- Feed customer insights and market feedback back into product development and positioning.
- Support customer onboarding handovers from sale to implementation.
Marketing Channel Development
- Support the design and execution of marketing channels — website content, decks, case studies, and onboarding materials.
- Collaborate on campaigns that educate customers on last-mile visibility and agricultural data challenges.
- Help shape thought leadership and storytelling around agriculture, impact, and technology.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor — helping customers understand how ShareCARD fits their operational and reporting needs.
- Support renewals, upsells, and account expansion in collaboration with Customer Success.
Pipeline & Performance Management
- Track leads, opportunities, and conversions using CRM tools.
- Forecast revenue and report on sales performance.
- Continuously refine sales approaches based on performance data and customer feedback.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience in sales, business development, or marketing — preferably in agriculture, agri-tech, or commercial and development-focused technology.
- Proven ability to sell complex or enterprise software solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience building and managing sales pipelines.
- Comfort working in emerging markets and with organizations operating in rural contexts.
- Understanding of agricultural value chains, outgrower programs, or smallholder farming models is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable in a growing startup environment.
