QUALITY CONTROLLER (HEAVY TRUCK GARAGE)

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that all repairs, maintenance, and servicing of heavy trucks are carried out according to Company standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements before vehicles are released for operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect trucks before, during, and after repairs.
- Verify that all repair and maintenance work meets required quality standards.
- Conduct road tests and final quality checks before vehicle release.
- Ensure mechanics follow approved repair procedures and safety guidelines.
- Identify defects, incomplete work, or recurring mechanical issues.
- Maintain inspection and quality control records.
- Report quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor the use of genuine parts and proper repair materials.
- Work closely with mechanics, supervisors, and store personnel to improve service quality.
- Ensure trucks released from the garage are roadworthy and safe for operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 10yrs of experience in heavy truck maintenance and repairs.
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection and quality control procedures.
