About Sadhguru School
Sadhguru School is a charity school in western Uganda providing a Cambridge education to children from vulnerable communities. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their potential regardless of their background.
Our approach combines academic excellence with Project Based Learning, practical learning, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and character development. We want students to understand the world, question it, and develop the confidence to improve it.
We are expanding our STEM team and are looking for passionate teachers who share this vision.
The Role
We are recruiting teachers who can teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.
Applicants may specialize in one subject or be able to teach a combination of two or more. Candidates who can teach multiple STEM subjects are encouraged to apply, but you do not need to teach all four subjects to be considered.

- Mathematics & Physics teachers
- Biology & Chemistry teachers
- Teachers qualified to teach multiple sciences
Experience with the Cambridge curriculum, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE or an equivalent international curriculum is highly desirable.
What You’ll Do
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Inspire curiosity through practical, inquiry-based and student-centered learning.
- Use experiments, investigations and real-world examples to make STEM meaningful.
- Support Project Based Learning by helping students solve authentic community challenges.
- Assess student progress and use assessment to improve learning.
- Differentiate teaching to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen our STEM program.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, exhibitions, fieldwork and extracurricular activities.

Our students learn best by doing. We therefore value teachers who can design practical learning experiences using laboratory investigations, fieldwork, locally available materials and creative teaching approaches.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a related STEM discipline.
- A recognized teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
The following will be an added advantage:
- Cambridge Lower Secondary or Cambridge IGCSE experience.
- Experience with Project Based Learning or inquiry-based learning.
- Experience teaching more than one STEM subject.
- Experience working in an international or developing school environment.
