Job Summary
The Warehouse Intern will be responsible for supporting operations of Uganda Warehouse, including inventory management and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management; receiving and issuing of stocks and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained, prepare items for dispatch by assisting in loading while adhering to batch management.
- Participation in Uganda warehouse cycle counts and year end stock takes.
- Coordination of Uganda ABPs replenishment and timely submission of Vendor invoices to Nairobi.
- Warehouse Organization; Segregation of goods and proper housekeeping by organizing the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility.
- Safety compliance; Follow Solenis EHS safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Warehouse Supervisor. Participate in Uganda Warehouse and office 6s activities.
- Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g. provides coaching)
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree in Supply chain management.
- At least 1 year progressive warehouse management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in operating lifting equipment e.g. stacker or forklift (forklift certification) will be an added advantage.
