Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Presales Specialist to join our dynamic our team in Uganda. The Presales Specialist will play a key role in driving business growth by providing technical expertise, demonstrations, and tailored solutions to potential clients. This role bridges the gap between our products/services and customer requirements, ensuring a seamless sales process and customer satisfaction.
The Pre-Sales Specialist’s mission is to build customer relations and significantly expand the scope and portfolio of services with targeted customers and prospects. This mission includes key stakeholder’s relationships, contributing to joint sales planning, sales and solution strategy definition, identification of potential opportunities, deal qualification, solution design, and deal shaping.
The role is responsible for continuously looking into digital technology
evolution/opportunities with the ambition to increase our customer intimacy and grow the (profitable) business and value of services delivered by our organization in Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sales Support:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose tailored cybersecurity solutions.
- Conduct in-depth technical presentations and product demonstrations for potential clients.
- Provide pre-sales consultation to clients on security architecture, risk assessment and compliance needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM and Distributorship channels.
- Deep understanding of business development processes from opportunity identification to negotiation peculiar to Uganda.
- Solution Designs Proposal Development:
- Design and recommend cybersecurity solutions based on industry best practices and client needs.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals, RFIs, and RFPs that highlight the company’s value proposition.
- Conduct proof-of concept (PoC) demonstrations
- Guide customers in testing solutions before purchasing.
- Customer Engagements Relationship Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor for clients, ensuring they understand the benefits of our solutions/services.
- Gather customer feedback and work with internal teams to refine product offerings and service delivery.
- Support account managers in closing deals by addressing technical objections and concerns.
- Industries Technical Knowledge Development:
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and solutions.
- Understanding regulatory requirements, compliance and how our solutions and services apply in specific industries (Financial, Telecomm, Fintech, Manufacturing)
- Obtain and maintain relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., COMPTIA S+ CEH, CCSP, etc).
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Presales, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Cybersecurity role.
- Demonstrated experience designing and presenting enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies including:
- Network Security
- Endpoint Protection
- Cloud Security
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- SIEM/SOC
- Vulnerability Management
- Zero Trust Architecture
- Experience responding to RFIs, RFPs, and preparing technical proposals.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI—DSS, and CIS controls.
- Experience working with OEMs and cybersecurity vendors is highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation and demonstration Skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to align technical solutions to business outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem—solving skills.
- Proposal writing and technical documentation expertise.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and commercial teams.
