Position Description
Job Title: Procurement Officer
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Job Purpose The overall purpose of the job is to play a key role in managing the organization’s purchasing processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement practices, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities · Assisting Procurement Manager in all purchasing activities.

· Overseeing and supervising employees in procurement department and ensuring all activities are done in accordance of company rules & policies.

· Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.

· Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.

· Reviewing, comparing, analyzing all quotes & contracts & submitting to Procurement Manager for further approvals. purchased.

· Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.

· Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.

· Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.

· Researching and evaluating prospective new suppliers.

· Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports

· Maintaining Import PO status, with help of Logistics department and

· Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

Person Specification
Education, Training, Skills & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics or any related qualification from a recognized University/Institution

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar industry.

Technical & Behavioural competencies

· Computer skills with working knowledge of MS Excel

· Good numerical skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Good negotiation and supplier/vendor relationship management skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and through multiple teams.

· Networking skills

· Effective communication skills

· Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Organisation and strong attention to detail

· Good time management

· Good work ethics

· Self-motivated and result orientated
