ABOUT SPEEDCOM
Speedcom Africa is a Pan African marketing, below the line consultancy firm with focused expertise in field force management and digital financial services deployment and enhancement.
CORE OBJECTIVE
Lead development and execution of MTN MoMo’s strategic and operational plans to drive Merchant Payments (MoMoPay): Retention and Reactivation and grow market share across the distribution channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy & Planning. Lead development and implementation of MTN MoMo’s strategic and operational plans. Translate quarterly/annual national plans into sales targets and budgets for regional teams. Set business goals, targets, and objectives. Implement monthly/annual plans and budgets.
- Sales & Growth. Develop and execute sales strategies for Merchants to achieve revenue and market growth. Drive MoMoPay growth through all distribution channels.
- Leadership & Team Management. Provide leadership to Regional Team Leads. Assign and delegate tasks as needed. Organize and facilitate training for Regional Team Leads. Assist in sourcing and onboarding Regional Team Leads. Promote a clear vision of Speedcom goals and strategies.
- Quality & Performance. Develop and implement quality control measures for target delivery. Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of project reports. Conduct regular trade visits to monitor project progress.
Maximize productivity and address client issues affecting trade.
5. Coordination & Relationships. Coordinate trade activities to ensure effectiveness. Manage relationships with Agents, Super Agents, Master Agents, Merchants, and Retailers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in business, marketing or a related field.
- At least five years in field sales or trade distribution, with three of those managing supervisors, not reps.
- Mobile money, telecom or FMCG distribution experience at regional or national level.
- Comfortable with numbers. You build the plan from the dashboard and defend it to a client.
- Valid driving licence, and willing to travel across your regions every week.
- A proven people manager. Recruitment, discipline, attendance and performance all sit with you.
