ABOUT SPEEDCOM
Speedcom Africa is a Pan African marketing, below the line consultancy firm with focused expertise in digital financial services deployment and enhancement.
THE ROLE
You own a territory of MoMoPay merchants. You keep the trading ones busy, bring the quiet ones back, and turn every till point into a place where the customer reaches for the phone instead of cash. This is field work. Markets, trading centres and taxi parks, every working day.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work a set call cycle across your merchant territory, checking in and out on the field platform at every visit.
- Find out why a merchant has gone quiet, fix what you can on the spot, and escalate the rest within 72 hours.
- Bring dormant merchants back to at least ten transactions in their first month, then keep them there.
- Train merchants on MoMoPay and coach them to ask the customer to pay by phone rather than take cash by default.
- Keep MTN branding correct, clean and visible at every till point you cover.
- Run customer activations at markets, taxi parks and trading centres, timed to market days and pay days.
- Report what you see in the field: competitor offers, merchant complaints, and what is working in your area.
- Hit your weekly and monthly reactivation, retention and transaction targets.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or certificate in sales, marketing, business or a related field.
- At least two years in field sales. FMCG, telecom or mobile money experience is an advantage.
- Fluent English plus the main language of your region: Luganda, Runyankole, Luo, Ateso or Lusoga.
- Confident on a smartphone. You will report digitally, every day.
- A valid riding permit helps for rural territories.
- Living in, or ready to move to, the region you apply for.
